Donating Blood
Jenn and I are on our way to give blood again soon. There is a Blood drive clinic happening today close by from 5pm to 8:30pm
Mom and dad came in today really early, the woke me up. But that was a good thing since I had once again turned my alarm off and went right back to sleep earlier that day. If they didn't come when they did I would have really been stressed for time.
So it turns out they may need to spend a week or two with us while they start their move. I'm not sure if I said this earlier but they had finally sold their house. They have to be out by May 31st if all goes as planned. Pretty soon after that they will be moving to New Brunswick and on to "mainland living" I guess. It's all happening so fast too. When your childhood house gets sold and it's no longer yours to go back to when you get homesick. I have to go back there the first full weekend in May to go through all my things and pick out what I want to take back here with me and what I would like to be either sold or given away. It's all going to be kinda hard, but then again, I get this "I can't wait" feeling. Maybe because I know we will all be home together at the same time that weekend and it will have such a old normal feeling, just like back in the day.

What happened to the day?
When Jenn and I went to the movies today it was so nice out, Sunny and 10°C outside. When we got out of the mall it was cold, overcast and windy. I guess you really can't plan anything around the weather here.

Supper
I have cooked supper 2 nights in a row now. I fell soooo full. I didn't realize how late it was, but we ate anyways.
I bought groceries a little while ago and I don't know what I was thinking but I bought two huge cloves of garlic. I was trying to use it in the food I was cooking last night and today but I have way too much in it, now the whole house stinks of garlic when you walk in. That's what I noticed anyways when I came home from work.

Ankle update
My ankle is doing great! My foot is causing the problem now. It feels so weird, I think I had hurt my foot the same time I hurt my ankle. It feels like it needs to crack or pop or something right down the middle. It aches so much when I walk. People are starting to notice my continuing limp and saying I should get it checked out again. Maybe I will. My ankle still has some minor swelling but that won't last.
We had some freezing rain here when I got off work, I nearly fell on my arse again. All I could think about is falling and hurting my other ankle or something worse. I'd be a pretty sight then.
I bought some of that Good Natured yogurt today, Partridgeberry flavoured. I didn't really want to buy it, I wanted blueberry, but that one only seemed to come in huge tubs. I only had 2 choices in the small tubs and that was either partridgeberry or Bakeapple, and I was NOT going to pick Bakeapple (Ewwwwwwwww)
It was awesome!!! I loved it and I am going to pick up more tomorrow! Look out
>Sobeys< you better have your dairy shelves stocked!!

New Blog!
Hey all I just decided to come on here and let you all know that I have a new blog. I am keeping this one, but I was on MSN today and was asked to upgrade so I did. When all was said and done I noticed a little link that said "my space" So I clicked on it and it was MSN blog! So as you know, with me I go crazy for free stuff. I got one. I really didn't know what to use it for, but as I was logging into Blogger I decided on SURVIVOR!!!!!!!
See, I live the show, but I don't want to cloud this blog over with my views and opinions on a reality show. So this new blog of mine will be all about Survivor and what I think and stuff like that. I have to go update it now......I'm such a geek!!! lol
oh, here's the link:
My Survivor Blog! Also, it was 15°C or more outside today, Me and Jenn went to the mall and saw a movie, we didn't know what to see so we ended up watching Miss Congeniality 2 which was good.

Metrobus early? No way!!
Well Today at work I made a plan, I decided to leave 1 minute early. Just long enough for no one to really notice but long enough to get my stuff packed up and heading out the door. That should have given me time to catch the 5:45pm bus because it's never early and never on time. So I thought I'd have time to wait maybe 3-4 minutes.
But in the real world does anything happen without Murphy's Law?? the answer: NO! Crap! the one day the bus is early, or extremely late. I waited and waited and 6:10pm I finally decided to walk around the entrance to work so I can find someone to get a ride down with. I got a ride and got in the door 6:30pm on the dot! since I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come out of the building.
I just ate a salad and I had sprinkled some chunks of boiled egg on time. Man the house stinks like someone farted big time, and I can't get the smell out!

Mmmm burnt pita
Ok, lets give blogger another go. I'm writing this post in WordPad first, just in case blogger doesn't like the words I'm feeding it lol.
That last post was nice and long, it was only about the weather tho, so no big loss there.
While I'm talking about weather I have to talk about the weather that has been happening lately. There has been a lot of rain and out basement started to flood 2 days ago. Ok maybe not that bad....Only about 1 cup of water, but still, it's seeping up through this little crack in the floor right by the furnace, and if the weather gets really bad then who knows how much water can get in. It was kinda nerve racking thinking about it all day.
My ankle is doing really good, I have good days with it as well as the bad days, some days I have a really bad limp and others I can walk normally.
Today for breakfast I wanted to try something different. I was baking some pita bread in the oven, I had it cut into little pieces and was going to eat them like chips. The thing is I forgot all about them and I let them in the oven for a long time. When I remembered I ran out and the place was full of smoke, I took them out and laid them outside, they were black and hard like charcoal. I had 2 windows opened to get the air moving and hopefully force the smoke out. You can smell the burnt pita bread still and it's turning my stomach a bit, but I'll live.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Today started off good enough. It was so nice and sunny out, most of the snow is now gone. Everyone had work today besides me. So I decided to take this as an advantage to get some cleaning and laundry done. I cleaned up the kitchen and the living room, as well as the bedroom, porch and even this guestroom.
It was going alright till 2:30 pm when things started to go bad. I was getting ready to go to the mall and realized that I really didn't have much time to catch the bus. So I hurried off and got my coat and sneakes on, and started to walk to the bus. When I got to the main road the bus passed me. "No big deal" I thought to myself, I'll just jog my way to the bus stop to catch up to it. I start my light run and I pass this nice lady and I take about 20 steps then my right foot lands on a bit of sand and mud covered hard snow. Right away I know something is going to happen. I fell (and hear) my ankle come out of place and I felt it go over the opening of my sneaker and it touched the ground. Instant pain shoots up my whole leg, I start to fall, and as the pressure of that step is released (since by now I'm horizontal) I feel it pop back into place. I land on both my hands and my left shin, and I don't stop, I just start to slide a little till there's no more sidewalk and just muddy grass. Then I do a flip of sorts and land on my right shoulder blade, it hits hard on the soft ground (thank god for that!) When I realize that I have really hurt my ankle for the first time in my life I see that I'm full of mud and bleeding from both my hands, there was too much blood to see what was cut but, boy, did it ever sting!. The lady that I passed ran up to me to make sure I was ok, she suggested I go to the Shoppers Drug Mart that was past the intersection to see if I could get someone to look at me. I told her I only lived a few houses away and should be able to make my way back home. By this time I'm on all fours and I'm sure I looked like a wonderful sight. She said "Can I help you get up?" and she held out her hands. Oh boy, I though I was going to pull her down with me! She didn't have much strength in her, but I was so grateful for the help. I then started to hobble home with one good foot and one really bad foot. I could hardly put any pressure on it and I thought about just sitting on the sidewalk till someone came by that could help me. But I knew that could take a while. So I call mom and Dad who were not home, I let them know that I fell and was in pretty bad shape (big mistake, I'll talk about that later).
Do you think people would slow down for you if they saw you crossing the street pretty much dragging your leg? The answer: No!
When I got home I took off my muddy coat and jeans, I never made one hole in my jeans but I got a few good cuts on my left shin. I washed my hands and see that I only got a few small cuts, I don't know where all the blood came from, I wouldn't think that they would bleed so much. I managed to hobble around and get some lunch with the aid of a part of our vacuum cleaner as a crutch. I cleaned my cuts and had my ankle on ice till I hopped in here to type this.
I'm bored silly, there is nothing on TV on Sundays and there is not much else for me to do but stare at the walls. So here I am. I can't walk, can't go to the hospital unless I wanted to spend 10.00 in cab fair and wait 8-10 hours in emergence for a doctor to tell me to just go home and rest. So tomorrow I'm going to see my doctor and get him to get me in to get some X-Rays done on it. To tell you the truth it feels like my ankle hasn't fully popped back into place and that's what causing the pain right now.

April fools!
I got several people at work and I got Deb today. Mwahahaha, I live for this day that's for sure, I just didn't prepare well this year.
Survivor has become a very strange game this season. It's in it's 10th season and it never seems to get dull, always something new, like 1 tribe losing 7 challenges in a row! Oh come on! What a group of people! They have been picked down to a group of 2 now. So long Ulong tribe! You suck......No other words for it really. lol
I'm recalling a memory about April fooled from ages ago (listen to me write like I'm 100 years old or something ha!)
When I was 9 years old, I thought that this year mom and dad isn't going to get me first, they always have every year before. So I got up early and got 2 BIG glasses of water, I filled them with ice cubes......Stirred them around for a bit then took them out. I went to their bedroom where they were sleeping and I threw the water on them. Just before it hit I yelled "APRIL FOOLS!!!!!" they opened their eyes and then....SPLASH! I got the 2 of them soaked! I guess I didn't fully understand the meaning of April fools and thought this would fit right in with all the pranks. All mom and dad could do (besides cough) was laugh. That's priceless
