Gym
Went to that Gym today next to work. Les got me a 5 day free pass. I must say I enjoyed my time there. I don't know how long I'd keep going if I was by myself tho. I needs a gym buddie! lol I did some bike and some kida freakiy looking maching that reminded me of sking. I also did some weights. Those machines were fun. legs feel a little like rubber and I feel a little weak all over but I should be fine by tomorrow. Who knows, maybe soon I'll sign up and become a member of the gym.

Beep Beep Beeeeeeeeeeep
I've had a headache for 2 days now. I take pills but it still lingers in the background of my mind....Slowly creeping back to full attention and it hurts so much, it feels like it's really sensitive to sound. I was at Wal-Mart today and some idiot pulled on a digital camera too hard at the display and it started to beep....REALLY LOUDLY. I had no idea where it was coming from at first. I was over by shoes and it just kept on beeping so I decided to follow the noise. It lead me to the electronics department. No one was doing anything about it. This girl behind one of the counters was just staring off into space. So I picked up the camera, I couldn't tell if it was the camera or the display that was beeping. I really tried to stop it, but it didn't work. So I just slammed it down on the display and gave the cashier a little fright. Then this guy comes over in a blue and white suit and slowly opened the back of the display and turned it off. It was beeping for a good solid 10 minutes. I thought I was going to go postal!!

Downtown
Went downtown today to visit a friend to try and fix her computer. It was such a lovely day out, I was looking out the bus window and got totally caught up in the moment of the city and how beautiful it is and how glad I felt about living here. Everything is so green and picturesque. I was looking out the window when the bus stopped at the convention center then I realized I had to get off there. Almost missed my stop! lol
As soon as I got off the bus this guy walks right up to me and announces who he is and puts is hand out to shake my hand. I thought "Oh great some type of government figure who is looking for a vote in this upcoming election thingie." So I was polite and shook his hand but he would not let go!!
He then explained to me how he hitchhiked to Newfoundland from Ontario and was very hungry and wanted some money for breakfast. I only had cards on me and 1.75 that I had to use to get back on the bus later. So I said "I understand the position you are in, but unfortunately I only have cards on me, no cash." He quickly released my hand and walked away grumbling.
On my way back from the friends house, who was not home btw. I ran into him again! This time he was coming out of Subway and was grumbling about how you can't get anything free in this city. Poor guy must have been really hungry.
How the hell do you hitchhike to an island anyways?? Stick you thumb out at a dock and hope a boat floats up and says "Need a lift?" Come on now! And why to Newfoundland of all places? Was he looking for work? HA! Good luck there.
Walking to the bus stop I passed the Scotia Building and it seemed like some group was holding an art exhibit. Here's what I saw. Some red/pink tape that had "DANGER" on it wrapped around 4 light poles, making a square. There were 4 girls all dressed in brown, and had brown skirts on. They had dirty pink looking hair and all looked like they were wearing glasses. They were acting like the zombies in the movie Dawn of the Dead. One had little white balloons tied all over her and she was crawling around and once in a while she would fall and pop a few balloons. She would do this over and over. 2 others were just acting loonies and the 4th girl was standing in the middle making funny faces and she had the brown cloth over her and looked like she had a baby doll in her arms. How fucked up is that?!?!?! I walked right in front of the camera man too, oops!
Also while walking downtown every 30 feet there was someone panhandling or playing music with their instrument case opened up for passer-byers to throw some money in.
I must say I was well entertained. I felt guilty tho for not throwing money at them, made me feel like I was downloading music for free or something ;^)
That's like TV, if I don't watch the commercials I feel like I'm stealing it or doing something wrong. lol

Movie
Jenn and I went to see the 40 Year old virgin yesterday. It was really good knee slappin funny. I laughed so hard though some parts I thought my eyes were going to explode!
I'm back to work for 5 more days now. Urgh! I hate it when I work for like 5-6 days in a row and then get 1 day off and then work another 5 or 6 days in a row.
Enough of me complaining. I really have noting else to say right now. That I can think of anyways, so I'll just stop here.

Big day!
Today is a big day for Deb. She is moving into her very own house today. I wish I was there to help her move, I bet she really could use an extra set of hands....And back lol
Not much happening around here besides that for now. I'm loving the new department I'm now in. I'd never go back to the old one even if I got a pay increase.

Ok everyone! Calm down!
I'm back! And so is my computer!
woot woot
I went to get my computer today and the guy that gave me my tower was very nice and was very sorry that I has to come back there yesterday and leave it overnight again. I told him that it was ok. I'm not that hard to get along with! Even tho it did bug me just a little bit. I wanted my computer!! And I never had it for like 4 days :^(
that's like taking away a crack whore's crack for 1 day!!! lol
Anyways. I got all my programs and games put back on the computer and some new stuff too. HA! Try and get me now viruseseses!! lol
I cooked spaghetti for Jenn tonight for supper. It was really good! I added a lot of savory to the sauce and it was really tasty!
Jenn and I also went in together on the 1st season of The Cosby Show!!! I love that show and can always remember it being a part of my life. It was on from 1984 to 1992. So since I was born in 82 then I can really see how I can always remember watching it. It's one of those few shows that has displayed values and just good family fun.
I'm heading back to work tomorrow, in a brand new department! woohoo! I can't wait! Even tho I know I'll be bugging everyone around me for the first few days, I'm sure they will be understanding.
Anyone see that commercial for KFC that has been out for about 2 years now, where this girl is walking down the sidewalk and starts screaming her head off when she sees a dead leaf on the ground? Well that's how I felt last week when I was waking home and spotted a yellow and green leaf on the public path by our house. Yesterday when I got up I went to the front door to see if there was any mail. When I opened the door a big red-orange(and some patches of green) leaf was on the front step. As if mocking me. "Hey you! Fall is coming soon!!! Mwahahahaha" I don't mind the fall part, but the winter part that will follow the autumn is what drives me crazy. Oy! The shoveling.
I have a Sears card now.....Maybe I'll just by a snow blower ;^)

Empty Computer
So I got my computer back today. I called them up this morning and they said they had it finished for a day now. Why didn't they call to let me know? I'll never know. Anyways. They had to format and put on a better windows.....I already had XP, but whatever. They said should cost 75.00 but when it came time to pay, it only came out to 45.50!! Wow! Cool.
So we take it home and I set it all up and turn it on to see what it's like. First off, everything was HUGE! It was set to 640 x 480!! yikes! Then I seen that there was nothing on the computer besides the regular computer stuff like My computer, IE, and recycle bin. Jenn freaked out and thought all her pictures (literally 100's) were erased and never to be seen again. I was a little upset and worried. So I called them back and asked why they never put all the things back on like they SAID they would do. The guy puts me on hold and 5 minutes and later said he will have to call back in 10 minutes while he "does something" Whatever this something was only took 5 more minutes. Then he said, that they just forgot to put the stuff back on and for me to bring the computer back up tomorrow for another all-nighter. Crap! I don't know how much more of this I can take! I guess that's what I get for paying 45.00 instead of the 75.00

Virus Alert!
So, I'm at work again. Somehow my computer has a virus. One that I actually can not get rid of, So I gave up and called Computer House to get it repaired. They said that I has an illigal version of windows, but they were puzzled by that because there was another version that was legal on the system, just not set up. I told them to just fix everything. So they have to do a format and put things back. they told me when I got there may cost up to 100.00 but on the phone, when they called, he told me just 75.00 So I was happy about that. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get it back and all should be ok :^)

Busy Day
Since I have moved within my project at work I now have to go for retraining. I will LOVE it I'm sure. I'll spend my time in the classroom with 15 others just having a good time, learning the new systems and policies. And training is from 4:00pm to 12:30am. That will be the worst part. So far today it seems alright tho, I did a lot today, I did 4 loads of laundry and hung 3 out on the line. Woohoo to me conserving energy! lol
I was putting the clothes on our poor excuse of a clothes line. It's bad, you can put like 4 shirts up and it almost sags to the ground. It's made out of bright orange rope! Not even the green/blue plastic coated wire that you would normally see. Les or Mike made some kind of post to stop it from sagging to low. But it falls over all the time. So I made it better! Just call me Mr. Handy-SNiP here are some shots I took of it.....Ah yes....I'm proud of my work! ;^)

From the side

From the back
I also followed up and posted the pictures of the swans like I said I would. I cleaned the bedroom and the kitchen and living room (to an extent anyways) I did some dishes and found a disc that went missing some months ago.
I have to go now and take in some laundry off the line.

Damn the spammers!
I really hate spammers, especially guestbook and comment spammers. I have been having this problem now for about 3 weeks. I usually catch them a few hours after they post. Their comments are rather blan and boring, such as "great site" or "Nice site, visit MINE!!!!" and that's it! Boring eh? Anyways, I guess once they start there's no stoppin them. I doubt that it's even real people. Maybe just some kind of "bot" that goes around looking for guestbooks.
Anyways, for Jenn's and my 1 year anniversary we went to Bowering Park. At first I thought it was going to be a horrible day, it was very wet and foggy out. By the time we got to the park by aid of a very nice Metrobus driver the sun was trying to poke through the fogginess. We set up our picnic that we had prepared under a very big tree that was by a small duck pond. We got it all set up and just started to relax and eat our food when some ducks decided to come up and see if we had anything to offer them. They were very nice tho, and backed of when they realized we were not giving them anything. There were 2 swans in the pond too. Courisoty(sp?) got the better of them after a while too and these 2 were not giving up without a fight. One came up to us and down right hissed at us. Jenn was totally freaked out by it and jumped up out of the way. I tried to shoo it away, which worked, or so I thought! Soon after we saw the 2 of them coming up to us. I could tell they were plotting something. A few seconds later they appeared from behind, using the big tree for cover. Then they attacked.....Out blanket. Boy, I tell ya, if you ever want to see a swan nibble a blanket something fierce then go to Bowering Park. Poor things, they most have been some hungry. After a while we relocated to a save viewing distance and enjoyed the rest of our picnic while being a free buffet to some very hungry mosquitos. I'll post some pictures tomorrow :^)

Night From Hell
Well this weekend Jenn's mother and aunt Ren came out for a visit. Jenn had so much planned for them. The weekend started off ok. Jenn's mother had lasuana for us. She had made it the night before and brought in. Later we had a BBQ and had a few drinks, and all talked about stuff.
Our neighbours, whom I have never met before came over and gave us a bottle of wine that they made. It was really good wine, we finished off that bottle and brought it back and they gave us another one! lol
That night we all decided to go downtown during the George Street festival. You pay 10.00 to get on the street and there are bands playing and other entertainment and stuff there. A LOT of drunk people too. We got seperated form Jenns mother and aunt during the night and we could not find them, before we left I suggested we have a look for them. We walked up and down without seeing them, then Jenn's aunt spotted us, but Jenn's mother was not with her, her aunt said she haven't seen her for about an hour. Jenn was so scared for her mother, who has never been downtown before. And when it's your first time there, with about 1500 drunk or majorly buzzed people it can get scary. So we thought that she may have hopped into a cab and got home.
We made a decision to all go home, but Aunt Ren said she will stay behind to look for Jenn's mother.
We couldn't find a cab. It was getting cold and there was no cab to be seen, we ended up walking down to the post office on Water street and called cab after cab and no one came. There were hundreds of people all around us doing the same and the cabs were all to busy to come down. When a cab would drove by it would slow down just enough for about 20 people to risk their lives and run towards it and then the cabbie would speed off! Almost like teasing the poor cold people who whouldn't get a ride. I have a mixed opinion of the cab drivers now in St. John's after seeing what they were doing. We finally got home and Jenn's mother was not there waiting for us. Or so we thought. Jenn was so upset and worried for her mother. When we all got inside we were getting ready for bed and resauring Jenn that she will show up. We hear a little tap tap tap at the back door and it was her! Jenn's mother was out on the back deck. She was there for about 2 hours, froze to death, she could bearly move. We got her in the house and she went to bed.
That was a horrible night and I hope we never have to go through that again.
The next day Jenn and her mother and aunt and I went to Signal Hill and had a look around and took some pictures. I went up to the very top. Something I haven't done since I was like 11 years old or so. It is a lot smaller than I remember. We then walked all over downtown and went to a bunch of shops. We also went on George street again, this time it was day tho. It was so weird seeing that street full of kids!! There was some kind of craft family thing on the go. We all had George dogs and then went home after visiting a few shops.
That night Aunt Ren went to visit some friends and Jenn, her mother and I went to see a movie. We saw The Island. It was awesome! and I highly recommend it.
