Some reality shows suck

So I watched Amazing Race last night, it was very interesting to see it done in family's of 4 instead of groups of 2. But what's with the destinations?? All of them so far are in the USA and the next show seems to be the same. It should be changed to the American Race. The first show of the season for Extreme makeover: Home Edition came on earlier in the week. What a crock of shit that was! I'm not familiar with how the troops in the US are treated, but I'm sure if you go and you get a leg blown off you are given something! This family lives on a nice street and had a wonderful looking house. The only problem I see now is that since this guy only has one leg he is can't really get up the steps and open the door good. Also he needed a bigger bathroom to move around in. So what do they do? They TEAR DOWN HIS HOUSE!!!! What a bunch of loonie bins!!! They then build him another house that looks a little bit like the shape of their old house, just things are bigger. Oh but first they decided to give away all there already new appliances to people that really need them. They then show how they gave this guy with NO LEGS living in a shack their used refrigerator. Why not give that guy a new house?? Geez these guys really need to get their heads on their shoulders and see who is really more deserving. What a snore fest. The show just made me mad, and I don't think I will watch the show like before ever again.
I got a new monitor yesterday. This one is a Samsung. It is so nice and it actually tilts back, not like the other one I had where it barely tilted, and when it did, it tiled forward. Talk about neck strain that thing gave me. And yes, I had it setup right with the stand. I checked that part out when I set it up and I was like "WTF?" I have to slouch to see the screen correctly.
I now have no more shimmering spots on my screen. Also no more funny lines when I play a computer game. But I still can't play the game I want to. It still turns the screen black. So this time I think it's the computer not the Monitor. So I have some tinkering to do. Or maybe get some help. Anyone wanna help?

We're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of....Futureshop!
lol ok, maybe not the wizard, but customer service. I'm bringing back my monitor and hopefully I can get something else better than Benq. I was told by many people at work that Benq is one of the worst brandnames to get for LCD monitors. I don't care if I have to pay the difference and get a better brand name. Someone even said to me, "If there was a Noname brand of monitor, it would even be better than Benq."
Ohhhh! And by the way. I found 250.00+ in my bookshelf the other day while cleaning it up a bit. I get rally happy when I find 5.00 in my jeans pocket. So you can imagine how happy I was to come across over 250.00!!!

hahahaha, I just did spell check on this and the only thing blogger could come up with for correct spelling for "futureshop" was "buttercup"

Rex Goudie

Some of you may know who he is, some of you may not. He is the runner up of this years Canadian Idol and some think his version of the winners song "Alive" should be released. Melissa O'neal (winner) does a great job herself, but others like Rex's version better. There is even a petition going around to get his song released.
Here is the link if anyone is interested in signing. >The petition<

Right now you can get it if you search under his name in any major file sharing program and get the song.

Busy Day

We got up half early today. I would say around 9am and got ready to go to the mall. I went into the store "South of the Border" and bought so much stuff! Most of it was 60-25 % off. Which was great, I spent over 70.00 there. But most of it was for Christmas gifts. I then went and bought some big ass winter boots! My toes will be nice and warm this winter I tell ya!

The Village

We had nothing to do here last night so all 3 of us went to the mall. Not the Avalon, but the >Village mall<. We hardly ever go there, unless we are just connecting with another bus. One big difference I have noticed outside is that the bus shelter is gone! I'd like to know what they are going to do come winter. I remember a few winters ago when all the busses were late due to the weather and EVERYONE was huddled into that shelter. It was so cozy with all that body heat and outside was bitter cold and the wind was making it hard to see anything.
I didn't buy anything in the mall except for some tim's(coffee shop). I went to Coles. Which is usually always one of my first stops. I was looking for the Fashion magazine that has the top 10 Canadian Idols on it, but it was no where to be found.

Sims 2 nightlife

2 days ago The Sims 2 nightlife came out, so I got it and installed it. When I tried playing it I first bought a car and a driveway. Then I started to play with it for a little when I realized that most of the time anything that would normally be faded or transparent was not, and was full of lines. I thought that for some reason the graphics were set lower or something like that. So I change the settings to "high" and saved the changes, then the screen goes black and the little "no signal" message comes up on the screen. For some reason the computer stopped communicating with the monitor....I have no idea why! So trying to rack my brain on what I could have done I think that maybe it was the graphic setting. I load the game again and it didn't even give me time to go into the settings before it happened again. I did this 3 times! And it still didn't work. Jenn was able to play it the next day, so I have no idea what is wrong with it. She said that the lines are still all over the game. I don't think it would be my graphics card. I got a Radon 9200 last year or a little longer that a year ago. It totally baffles me. So I'm going to un-install the game and install it back on....That should take a good hour! You would think it should take 10 minutes at the most, but when you have a crappy CD burner drive that thinks it's just a cd-rom then you have no other choice till you get a new one.
Anyone see survivor last night? you can read my survivor blog to se what I thought of it.

Flickr.com

I have a Flickr account and I finally got around to putting enough pictures on it so I can have this nifty little picture show on my site. Just scroll down past my Shout Box to see it!

Early mornin rise

I got up with Jenn today. She had to work and got up before 7am. I got up too(few minutes later) and got the bus to work with her. I went to the bank and then headed to Nubody's so sign up for a membership at their Gym. I walk in and the lady at the front desk told me that the staff that signs up people isn't in till 9am. oy! So I had to book an appointment because apparently they are very busy nowa days. The earliest I could get in was 5:15 pm!!! Double oy! So I walk back down the hill and headed to the other bank. They didn't open to 10am! It was only 8:27am at the time. So I said "screw it all" and came back home. I left later, I was expecting to have a little nap but that didn't work. I couldn't stay still long enough. Too bad, I am up for the rest of the day now. I might head over to the mall soon. The Sims Nightlife is coming out very soon and I feel like pre-ordering it. I know I should wait for Christmas, but I wanna play it now!! lol
It's getting pretty warm outside now, if I don't go to the mall then I should at least go for a walk I think.

at work

I'm starting to feel sick again now. My left ear is killing me and it hurts to swallow. Also that hanging thing in the back of my mouth( I don't know the real name of it) is swolen so bad it is touching the back of my tounge and makes me feel like I need to swallow, like I got food stuck there or something. It's one of the most uncomfortable feelings. I can't wait to get off work so I can just relax

Stiff Back

I woke up in the middle of the night last night was an awful pain in my back, it was definitely my arthritis kickin in. I hate this and would never wish it on anyone. I was planning to go to the gym again today to take advantage of the last of 5 free days but I don't know if that will be happening today. It all really depends on my back. If I do go I would say I will not be doing any lifting besides the ones that you sit at and use your arms or legs. I like that skiing thing tho. That's a neat contraption.
