Christmas stuffing

Anyone else fill up on junk this season? I dear say I did. I ate so much on Christmas Eve I thought I'd explode.
We had a good Christmas here tho, I met Deb's dog over the holiday and it just increased my desire for my own pet. That dog is well behaved and very cute. Jenn got me Nintendogs for Christmas so that will have to do in the mean time lol

Lately I've been thinking about a re-design of this site. I seem to redo it once a year and now the design bug has bit me again. I thought about going with something totally different and complex, then I thought about a design that was similar to this design just arranged differently. I don't know which direction I'll go with. I guess it will all depend on how much time I'm willing to put into it.

I don't have anything else to say really. I had a good Christmas and am hoping for a good new years.
Going into the new year and being engaged.....Wow....That's something I never thought would happen for 2006

Holidays

I'm on my holidays from work now. I started it today and I have to go back to work on Christmas Eve then I'm off again on Christmas day and then work again on Boxing day. I'm thinking about calling in sick on xmas eve so I can have 5 days off. Oh that would be so nice! But I guess I really can't say I will or not till that day comes. I have all my shopping done for sure this time. I have to go to the mall soon and go visit the bank and meet Jenn for lunch. Dad and Deb are making their way into town tomorrow. I'm hoping the roads will be good for Deb driving across the island.
Also I have a cold. I was at work and everything was ok untill I sneezed then all of a sudden I has stuff nose! crappy! I'm not pleased lol

Virus 2

Well 2 days ago I decided to run Spybot and some other things to just see how my computer was making out after I got it back from the computer shop. Apparently I still have the virus! I didn't even know, it was sitting there oh so quietly. I can't get rid of it. I found these files that it put on the C drive and I deleted all that but it's still there no matter what else I do! I'm going to take it to another shop later because I want this virus gone and I don't think that they removed it in the first place. That 40.00 they got from me earlier is the last 40.00 they will ever get from me!

Sleeping in

I just got up like 15 minutes ago, I can't believe I slept in. I really must have been tired if I did for that long. I could understand sleeping in till 10am but to 12pm?? I feel like I slept the day away!

For the ones that read this blog and live on the island or even in Labrador should really go to this website here: >911 Education< and sign the petition to get 911 services available all throughout the provience. Sure RCMP is available all over but why dial all those numbers when you can dial just 3??

Got it back

Tha's right, I got my cumputer back.
I must say they did an excllent job, really cleaned it up. Cost just a little over $40.00 would have been more but when I got there to pick it up they never had it put back together and couldn't find one of the side panels. So they took of $5.00 for making me wait, which was great. I swear they are a bunch of spaced out wackos but they must be doing something right lol

Pepsi Wars!!

So it snowed last night. There were high winds too. Jenn and I decided to go over to Shopper Drug Mart, which is a drug store that is a 4 minute walk from our house. They had 2 Litre Pepsi on for 0.88 each. They came in bundles of 8 and were at a limit of 8 per customer. We only needed 8 for the Christmas holidays. When we walked over we seen that there was next to none left! Apparently they had a big pile of them in one section on the store, we couldn't find any. We went to where they normally are and seen that they had 1 bottle left! Right next to it was an unoccupied cart with a case of 8. on top of it was some flyers and 3 empty boxes so we assumed that it was just a cart that a shelf clerk was using for a place to put small empty boxes when he/she was stocking shelfs. So we take the pepsi and go and pay for it. As I was paying for it I looked back and see 4 people looking into the cart and one of them said aloud in discust "Someone took our pepsi!!" Let me tell you, we were quick to get out of there. If we known that the cart was actually being used by someone and not just left there by it's self with empty boxes on it then we would not have taken it. Well, we go the Pepsi now lol
I'll bring the computer to the fix-it shop tomorrow so hopefully soon I'll have it back and running.

Virus

So it turns out my computer has a virus. Yes, another virus. I can't even turn on the computer without being harassed with balloon messages. There was also some programs that just magically appeared on my desktop that were not there before. So not only is there a virus but a crap load of spyware. I tried to get rid of it and got most of it off. At first I had 4 viruses and now only 1 because I managed to clear the other 3. I need to bring my computer to the shop and get it fixed. First time this happened I took it to a computer shop just up the road from my house. They seemed to be all spaced out and they didn't really look like they knew what they were doing. I asked some friends at work who they would recommend and they all said that place. So maybe it was just that I cought them on a bad day or something. So I will try them one more time. I can't bring it up there till Wednesday so I wouldn't say I will be able to pick it up till Thursday after work at the earliest. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they don't have to do a format. I hate that. See you all then!

Today should be Monday

That's how it fells anyways.
Jenn put together a package to send home to her family and she planned to send it out at the first of the month so they would get it in time. She discovered it would be best to send it on a coachline since it would get there same day and not cost as much as sending it through mail.
We got it ready last night and was going to drop it of at the Irving gas station on Stavanger Drive that same night so it would be ready for the early morning departure. Last minute she didn't feel comfortable leaving it there over night so we decided to get up early today to do it.
I head off to bed last night and I could not get to sleep. Well, maybe I did fall asleep for about 1/2 hour then I just awoke somehow. I couldn't get back to sleep. I kept looking at the clock and seeing the minutes go by, that drove me nuts. Around 5am I couldn't take it anymore and felt like crying. After a little while I did go back to sleep, I would say for another 1/2 hour. Then we had to get up and get ready.
I was so tired.
We made it to Irving with lots of time. We got a deal on the package. She didn't even measure it. I got a coffee and we watched the bus drive off. We got another cab home and I got ready for work and left.
At work I realized that I had forgotten my swipe card (security card) to get into the building. Being a little early I thought I had enough time to go around the building to the security entrance. How wrong I was!
I went around the building and waited for a guard to get back from his "15 minute" break. 24 minutes later I got my temp card and was running around to get everything set up for the day. Checking this and filing that, making sure I had everything ready. On my first break I went to get another coffee because I was starting to fall asleep at my desk. I went to the grocery story and got a banana and then I went to Tims for a coffee. On my way back I realized that I LOST my card!! My temp card! GONE! So I start to retrace my steps and find it on the floor at Tims. I come back and I'm late. The rest of the day followed just as bad. I felt like saying I was sick and leave early. But I pulled through and made it out alive. Another Monday (disguised as a Friday) survived.
