Good morning!
Good Morning everyone!
Ok, lets see here, if you are r sick of hearing me complain about all the snow raise your hand?.....Ok...... So everyone is, fair enough. I'm sick of it myself, but it's EVERYWHERE. And it's cold and slippery and just all around nasty. I want spring to be here. *sigh*
I just had a bowl of Corn Pops for breakfast. I haven't had cereal in some time, was some good! You would think this cereal would not be very popular, since it's name is pretty much stating it's main ingredient....Corn. It taste so good tho! Who would of thought corn could be turned into a breakfast food. Interesting.
I get a national geographic magazine in the mail every month. The past 2 years the have been sending me 2 at a time! I have no idea why. Both are the same and both have my name on them. They also arrive at the same time. I'm afraid to call them, they may try to fix it and instead start sending me 4 at a time....Or none. So I'm just letting it be for now.
As each day goes by I fell more and more interested in the whole EBay thing. I'd like to start selling things but I have no idea how it works. I read their site and I can't seem to get the answers I'm looking for. Like should I pay for postage or does the bidder? Do I include it in my price? Does Ebay take their share of the money right away or would I end up owing them a bill? Anyone that reads this know these things?

My fault!
I am so so so sorry everyone. It is my fault. I will admit it!
It happened quite innocently enough. I was looking out the front door window and seen all that bright sunlight and I don't know what came over me. I moved the shovels from our front porch to the back porch. *sigh* I taunted mother nature and she got mad. Now we got this big arse storm. All to teach me a lesson. But don't expect me to shovel all you're driveways! Doing my own is punishment enough.

Melting
I was at work the other day and I came across this link during one of the slow periods.
Click here (Brings you to CNN.com)It's about the melting of the ice caps. A lot of people don't realize that if the north pole melts it will not raise the sea levels at all. It's like an icecube in a full glass of water, when it melts the cup does not overflow, because the amount of frozen water is already IN the water. If Greenland and the South Pole melt it will be a different story, where it's all on land there will be no where else for it to go besides in the ocean. There is also a link showing a world map if the water would rise by just 20 feet. It's kinda scary when you think about it. But you just gotta accept that it's something that will just happen now. A Lot of people are going to have to move, that will be the most chaotic part. Most of those nice tropical islands will disappear. Most of Florida will be gone, and guess what will happen to Louisiana!! Wow. I got some pictures here if you'd like to take a look.

Downtime
I wanted to update my blog last night bout could not because blogger was down! Then I tried to send some emails to some friends but couldn't because hotmail was down! What's up with all that!?!?!
I got a card in the mail a couple days ago from the gym I go to, they gave me a post card wishing me a happy birthday and telling me that when I go there again they have a birthday surprise waiting for me! I was hoping it was something really nice. When I went to collect it was a 10.00 off coupon or anything in their display cabinet/gift shop area. I was hoping for a free T-Shirt or something. Ah well, I guess they can't just give away the place.
I got the new Sims expansion pack! Called Open For Business. It's very neat, also very challenging at times. It's very interesting.
I had so much more to say last night and I can't remember a thing today, I guess since I only woke up about 1/2 hour ago it may come to me sometime throughout the day.
P.S. Anyone that has a blog with blogger notice that the spell check it provides doesn't know the words "blog" and "blogger"? Now that's strange.

Happy birthday to me!
Yesterday was my birthday, Jenn got up really early and made me a birthday breakfast. I got eggs, pancakes, bacon, and toast! Mmmm it was so good
Also while making breakfast she had the house all done up with balloons and banners, she put so much work into it.
I opened up all the available gifts (there is still one coming to me) and I got 3 shirts, some scratch tickets, a wal-mart gift card, some chocolates, 75.00 cheque and the 7th season of Survivor on DVD!! Woohoo!
Jenn made little sandwiches and we had cake and pepsi, it was very nice. Just me and her.
I made sure that Jenn knew I hated suprise birthday parties. Due to the experiences I had in the past with them I just plain don't like them.
Jenn came up with this idea to get all my family on the phone so they can sing me happy birthday before I blew out the candels on my cake. I has some family on the house phone and some on my cell, what a funny picture that was! I got it right here too. (I look very goofy)

This and That
I had a this dream last night where Jenn and I got a new apartment, it was really nice except for the flooring. All the walls were white and the floor was carpet all throughout (even in the kitchen!) with this ugly red floral design that seemed to be from the 50's. It had 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom was HUGE! I loved it, it had it's own bath and a nice sized closet. When we were walking towards the closet I opened the door and was faced with another door on the other side of the closet. Kinda confused I opened the door, only to find a nice big bright bathroom! I stuck my head in and looked around only to find the neighbour sitting on the toilet looking at us very angry. Oops! Sorry dude. lol what kind of dream is that??
We had freezing rain yesterday and when I got home from work I was knocking down the icicles that were hanging from the eve of the house. One was so long it would have been taller than me if measured for sure. So I knocked down that sucker and the gutter that it was attached to made a funny noise like a sigh of relief.
I'm off on Monday and Tuesday this week! It is so weird since this will be the first Monday I have been off since on my new project. Surprisingly it will also be my birthday! I can't remember whom I was "brownnosing" to get that off. lol j/k I say it was just a fluke.
Last night the city workers were out trying to get rid of some of the snow in the streets. They had that huge snow blower out and was doing most of the roads. The snow was taking up a lot of room, the whole sidewalk and enough road space for a car to park. The road was changed from a narrow 2 lane road to a full too lane road with enough room for parking on either side. Ahhh the room! So nice. But while they were going with the giant snow blower they had to stop it for some reason. When they turned it off I guess the turning blades went out of synch and made the machine bounce around and bang on the ground. This thing is big, so it shook the house when it started to do that. I thought it was going to come in through the house. What a fright!

Scanner
There is a friend at work who is moving to Alberta in April or May and she is selling everything she owns. One of the things she is selling is her computer, a scanner also comes with it. I said I would buy her scanner. The one we have now is old, it belonged to my father. It has no cables what so ever, not even a power cord. It also only came with half the software to run it. I don't even know why I took it, it's pretty mush useless, it just sits here no the desk collecting dust. I felt bad not taking it from dad, he really wanted me to have it. We really don't need a scanner THAT bad but I would like to have one so I can scan a few things.
I got the scanner from that friend at work today. I brought it home and set it all up only to find that it doesn't want to work with my computer. So I'm going to bring it back and hope she understands. I guess I should just buy a new scanner.

Just call me Mr Stupid!
So I just finished cleaning the bathroom. When I was working on the tub/shower I had some cold water running to just keep things going. I had the shower head put back in it's place and when I was on my knees scrubbing the sides of the tub I felt a little spray of water on me, I looked up and seen that a little bit of water was sprinkling down from the shower head. Thinking that the shower knob wasn't turned all the way off I reached for it to turn it all the way.
Oh I turned it all the way alright, all the way ON!
I just about had a heart attack, freezing cold watch gushes all over me and in my face and even up my nose. I was soaked from head to toe when I had enough sence to actually turn it off again. Talk about a panic I was in! Holy moly, the floor got a good cleaning now too because of it.

Downtown
Went downtown today. It was such a nice day for it. Hardly any wind down there and the sun was trying ever so hard to peek out of the clouds above. We had to go to Harvey's oil topay off the remainder of the bill, we asked for them to delivered 100.00 and they delivered 103 and some change. We then headed to Tim's for a tea and hot chocolate, I have never been in that one as far as I remember. It looks just like all the others tho.
While walking around we came across The Model Shop. We went inside and climbed up to the 3rd floor to the bride section. We had just planned to browse but that turned into actually trying on a dress. I hid in a change room because I'm not supposed to see the dress. She sounded very happy in the one she was wearing though. It was also a pretty good price, something I had expected. I did not expect however that the tux would be sooooooo cheap!! I could get it now if I wanted!
When we got back home the mail box was full. My birthday gift from Jenn came early! Really early. I was not expecting it till Friday. Now if I could only convince Jenn to let me open in early lol

Unan1mous
Ok, must of you that read this may know I am a reality TV junkie. I don't like ALL reality shows, just some of the basics. Survivor, Big brother, Canadian Idol etc. There is a new series coming on FOX on March 22nd called Unan1mous, that I just might HAVE to watch. It's 9 people in a bunker style setting and they all have to vote on whom to give 1.5 million dollars. But if they all can't decide then the 1.5 starts to dwindle away till they make a decision. Here's the website address if your interested:

Mumble jumble
I got 3 days off!!
Starting after Monday.
It also includes a payday.
Sheldon + money + day off = Sheldon with no money by next morning.
The snow is really getting to me lately. It appears to snow every day, even if it's just light flurries. It's all driving me mad, I want spring to come.
I went to the Avalon Mall today to meet Jenn on her lunch break. There seems to be so many renovations happening there lately. They are putting in an elevator in the food court and I have no idea what they are doing to the store front of Coles, but there is a lot of plastic and boards everywhere.
I'm here now listening to Prozzak. Man, it's been a while since used to listen to them all the time.
This room is a mess....Rather, the bed in this room is in a mess. Too much crap on it. Wanna see? Sure you do. Here's a pic.

I went to the gym today and I thought that going at 11am would mean a nice quiet workout, but no, there was too many people there again. I had to wait to get a bike again. Man those things are popular. I felt like I was beat to a snot when I was finished, then I had to walk home in the slimy, slushy roads.
I'm just full of complaints today

Danny William's on Larry King Live
So
>Danny Williams< Is going to be on
>Larry King Live< on CNN tonight. He will be talking about the seal hunt that takes place around the shores here every year. I hope it goes well. Paul McCartney was also invited to attend. He actually came to St. John's a few days ago on a stopover flight while he was making his way to Halifax.
He is there to protest the inhumane slaughter of the baby seal pups. As far as I know The babies are not killed. It's the adults that are. Any video of the seal hunt that has floated through the media is usually old and outdated, before any rules and regulations were taken place (tho some were not). The only reason why they feel so badly (Ii my opinion) is because they have the "cute factor".
Chickens, fish, cows and pigs and countless other animals are killed for food every day. But do you really hear much stink kicked up over that? Not really. Why? Because they really don't have much of a "cute factor" They also say that the seals don't have a chance to get away. Well neither does a caribou when someone is waiting in camouflage close by ready to put a bullet in them.
what's your opinion?

Harvey's Oil
There is a home heating oil company here named Harvey's Oil. They are a fairly big company and our landlord has home heating insurance with them. Part of that agreement is that we can only fill our oil tank with their oil. That's no big deal. The deal is the type of service we are getting from them.
I called them up on the 28th to order some oil. Around 100.00 worth. The lady I spoke with was very pleasant and very helpful. When she seen that the last time we had ordered was in June she was kinda taken aback about that. I thought it was weird that she would be. She put some other lady on the line that was just so rude. The call went something like this:
Her: "Yes how can I help you?" In a very angered tone.
Me: "Oh, I don't know, that lady I was just speaking with put me on hol-"
Her: she cuts me off and says "yes yes, you want to order 100.00 worth of oil?"
Me: "Yes"
Her: "Well the last time you ordered was in June, do you realize that you HAVE to order from us??"
Me: "Well yes, that is why I'm calling."
Her: "Look, it's impossible to go from June to now without ordering oil, you have been getting it somewhere else."
Me: "Um, no. This is the first time since June we have order-"
Her: she cuts me off again "Yes, you are!"
Me: "Excuse me?"
Her: "You have been ordering oil from some other company."
Me: getting mad "No I have not"
Her: "Well 100.00 is not enough, you have to start ordering more oil!"
Me: "But why when-"
Her: "You need to order more that this in the future, now how do you want to pay for this?"
At this point she would not let me explain that we didn't use any oil when it was delivered up to October 31st. And only then because of the trick-or-treat'ers the door was opened for some time, thus letting in a lot of cold air. Then the middle of November is when it was steady on till now, when we ordered more.
300.00 worth was ordered in June. I guess the oil company doesn't appreciate environmentally conscious citizens. I sent them a complaint about that bitchy lady too. Haven't gotten a reply yet. I can't wait to see what they say.
I'll keep you all posted
