Vacation time!
At 10:00pm tonight I will be officially on vacation! Woohoo! I will be on my way to Bishop's Falls 7am tomorrow morning. Going to be taking the DRL coachline there. Not really looking forward to the long ride, but hopefully I'll be able to pas the time with Sudoku puzzles, Nintendo DS and my iPOD and they may even play a movie or two! So I should be well entertained the way in. I just hope it's not too crowded.
When we get there we are going to have to meet with the minister that may marry us. But the wedding is in 2 years still, so I doubt that the same guy will be at that church, but I guess you can never really tell.

The door is locked alright!!
So today Jenn had a meeting to go to at 8am to 11am. It was about the back to school specials they will be running.
Jenn had asked up a friend for dinner. She also works with her and would be at the meeting too, which would be great because then Jenn also gets a ride home and don't have to wait on the bus.
So I get up nice and early to make dinner. I have it all made by 10:15am. I thought that was great timing because their meetings hardly ever go the full 3 hours.
Then time passes and it's 12:00pm and still no Jenn and friend, shortly after that I get a call, she is stuck there for some time and has no idea when she will be home. I pass the time by playing computer games till my eyes hurt. It's now 1:15 and I get another call. She said she will be off at 2 and she was so upset because she never planned to be there that long and she didn't bring a coat or anything and her friend now has to work till 5:30p. It was pouring out now too BTW
So I tell her I will come up there and bring an umbrella for her. When I was leaving I made sure that the door was locked. Then, when I got out of the cab I realized what I have done.....Locked myself out!!!
So when Jenn gets off her friend was just going on lunch, so it appears we were still going to have lunch after all - until I realize Jenn didn't have any keys either.
I called the land lord and she was no where to be found. I leave 2 messages on her voicemail. Nothing. We get to the house and it's completely locked up. All windows shut and all doors locked. Damn! I tried everything from beating in the door to trying other keys in the knob to see if that would help. Nothing. So Jenn's friend had to go back to work. Me and Jenn were left out side, in the rain. We had no idea what to do. I just sat there and Jenn just stood there with her umbrella.
Then we went to Irving and called a locksmith. 1 and 1/2 hours later and 50.00 less, we're in the house.
Our neighbor's to the right of us told us to wait inside for the locksmith. We had coffee/tea and had a fine chat with her, I was soaking wet so she gave me a T-shirt to wear that said "Crooked" on it. And it couldn't have been more true, I was so mad with myself. She told me to keep the shirt, as she had it put aside to be torn up and made into a floor matt, but felt since it was new it would be a shame to tear it up and rathered if I wore it.
So that was my day, how was yours?

Keep your door locked at all times!
So, I was in the shower earlier, I was the only one home. I had the music on and was singing away to it while in the shower. When I'm almost ready to get out, the door bell rings.
All I could think was "Fuck, the mormans are back AGAIN!" I was in no rush to get the door.
Then I hears the door shut and someone was in the house! I was like "Who the hell just walked in the house!" So I turn off the shower and I hears this lady yell out "Sheila!!!.....Sheila!!!!!" And I answer "WHO?!?!" still dripping wet, trying to dry myself off a bit so I don't slip on the floor and break my neck.
Then she yells out again "Is this Sheila's house?" So I say "No, Sheila doesn't live here!" she then says she is sorry and leaves. I never had time to see who she was or anything. By the time I'm out of the bathroom she is walking to her car.
For now on I'm keeping the door locked at all times, not just at night anymore. It was crazy when we had all those drunk girls just walk in to our house one night, I don't want to see a repeat of that, no matter how funny it seems now. lol

Vacuum
I should vacuum the rugs today but I can't. I was trying to do it earlier and the powernozzel was making some really strange noises and that little wooden stick with the Brussels was not moving. I took of the top and bottom and see that the belt that makes that wooden stick move is almost broken. I turned it on to watch and it just gets caught up in the area that it is worn. So I cant vacuum the rugs. I called dad for some advice since he use to fix vacuums and he said another belt will cost around 10.00!! ouch! Well, it is needed. I just gotta try and get some time to go up there and get one in between work.
I would go up today only for it's 29 degrees outside and I pulled the right side of my back yesterday while on break at work.

Time to update
It's long overdue.
Jenn and I had the day off today so we took the Route 5 all the way to the bottom of Forbes street and we went to Bulk Barn. That place is heaven, they have so much good food there, I got some chocolate covered pretzels, ju jubes, butter caramel peanuts and some more things. We couldn't stay there too long because I would just keep buying.
It was rainy all day here today, kinda cool outside too, yesterday I wore shorts to work and several people said I was crazy because it was 12 degrees out and it was too cold. I told one person that almost seemed offended that I was wearing more summery clothes that if this was January and we got 12 degrees she'd be complaining about how warm it was outside. She shut up after that! haha
The Pepsi strike is almost over here. Heard on the radio that workers in Corner Brook could be back to work as early as Monday....Or was it the workers in Grand Falls - Windsor?? Whatever place it is, I can't wait!
About 3 weeks ago Pepsi stocks were getting kinda low. The Irving gas station just a short walk away from here hardly had any Pepsi products at all. Just some regular and diet and some 7up and orange crush. It was hard to get anything like the caffeine free and the other Cruch flavours anywhere. Sobeys was having trouble keeping it in stock for a while too.
Since I am a big Pepsi fan (coke is nasty! But when I have nothing else fizzy to drink I'll drink it)I was hard pressed for a Pepsi. They started to ship in the drink from the mainland and the strikers were calling them "scab drinks" and was demanding a province wide boycott. I tried to follow along with it am much as I could, but after a while I would cave and buy some.
Now the strike is over and things will soon be back to normal I think I'll sleep better in the night now - Ok, maybe that's being a little over the top, well at least I won't feel guilty when I buy a Pepsi anymore :^)

Got the weekend off
I got this weekend off. I couldn't wait to get out of that building yesterday, 10:00pm couldn't come fast enough. I hate this 1:30 to 10:00 shift. On Fridays we get our new schedule for the week after next. I was really not happy with that because on the one released last night I got a 3pm start time. It's not like I did bad on my performance appraisal, I actually got second highest possible. So that really should not be affecting my start time, I haven't don't 3pm starts since 2003! What's up with that?
I'm making an appointment for either the 25th or the 27th at Academy Canada so I can do some math and physics and chemistry courses, I can then go and do 1st year engineering. I found out that it will cost me 165.00 a week - not including books or supplies. I then have to see if work will cover for that fee. I hope so because then I will be able to go very soon.

Movie
So mom, Jenn and I went to the Avalon Mall today. They did some shopping and I was just tagging along basically lol
While at Sears I did happen to stumble upon a shelf full of backpacks on sale. I got a really good one for $9.99 that was regular $19.99
We then went to Fog City for lunch. They are renovating there and we had a lovely meal to the background of construction work. We then went to a movie. We saw Click, it was really funny....Then really sad.....Then really funny again.
not much else to say right now.
