Damn cab driver!!
Jenn and I got the day off today, so we decided to go get some groceries.
When we were finished we called a cab, we normally call Bugden's cabs because their "pit stop" is right by the Irving gas station next to our street. So we know it won't take them long to get to our requested pick up.
So I call them and this station wagon cab pulls up. We have about 11 bags of groceries, which really isn't that much when you compare with the people who walk out there with a cart overflowing with bags. The cab driver hops out and opens the back and I start to load the good inside, the cab drivers normally help, but this one just stood there looking at me with his arms crossed. Jenn brought the cart back in the store and when I sat in the cab I looked at the meter and seen that he had the meter running the whole while we were loading! We only took about 1 minute to load. I'd understand if it took 5 minutes or something, but 1 minute?
The bill was up to 3.50! When Jenn sat in the cab it had already gone up to 3.75 -I was pissed.
When we got to the house the cab asked which driveway, he would point and say "That one?" and I would say "Yes" but he kept asking! 3 times before I said in a very clear and loud voice "That drive way right in front of us!" and pointed. He then went a little further and then backed up. By the time the cab stopped it was up to 7.50.
Now normally it costs anywhere from 6.00 to 6.50 depending on the stop lights. So I gave him 2 5.00 bills and 2 quarters. He then too the money and hopped out of the wagon! Both of us were sitting there and we just looked at each other ad Jenn whispered "Is he going to give us change?" I had no idea if he wanted to or not but I was going to make sure we got it. He opened the back and we took our groceries out and he said "Alright then, have a good day!" and he got ready to get in his cab. But not before I stopped him and demanded my change. I said "Ahhh, change?" He looked confused and I asked again. "Can I have MY change back please?"
"Oh!" he stammers "I thought since you gave me 10.50 that you were giving me a tip."
"No" I said "I want my change."
He fished around in his fanny pack and pulled out a fist full of loonies and have me 3 and left.
If I was going to tip him I would have just gave him the 2 5.00 bills and not the 0.50 extra. I gave him that so it would be easier to make change. Bastard, if he is that hard up for cash why not get another job. He's just a big ol' skeet that knows no better.

Meet me at the fountain!
Well, I just went to the Village mall. Actually I never meant to go there at all, I was just planning to go to
>the Bulkbarn<.
When I was finished there I noticed a lot of busses waiting at the red light down the road. Not wanting to wait half an hour for the next bus I ran down the parking lot and across the 4 lane highway to the bus stop. I made it! But not in time for the route 5. I missed that one by 3 minutes, or so a lady told me that was also waiting for the busses to go through the lights.
Then it started to rain. Not a little, a LOT. I sat down on the bench before it go too wet as I didn't expect the rain to last long(maybe 5 minutes) as it has been doing that all day. After about 10 minutes I'm almost soaked to my skin, I decide to find some shelter. The Village mall is just a short walk away, so up the road I go, though the streaming rain. I make it there only to realize I still had a 45 minute wait for the bus. So I go inside to look around. Winners is gone and so is a lot more stores that used to be there. A new store is there now called DollarRama. They have a lot of stuff and all of it is truly a dollar or less.
When I was making my way back down to the entrance to get my bus I noticed something looked weird about the whole downstairs level. Then I realized, the fountain is GONE! That big one that used to shoot water all the way up to the second floor is gone! New shiny marble tiles now lay where the fountain used to be. Now the jingle that was made up for the mall years ago is just not fitting anymore.

Yesterday
So yesterday we decide to get up a little early and go out for breakfast. We went to My Brothers Place on Torbay Rd and had their buffet. Jenn had it one time before with her co-works at La Senza, they all liked it and Jenn said that we should go together sometime.
We got there around 10:00am and I loaded my plate up with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, and homemade hashbrowns. When I went up for seconds I noticed another table, this table had dinner style food. So I tried some of that and I really wish I didn't, I was full and the seconds I ate were either too spicy or just gross. I was sick for most of the day after that. I felt like such a gluten. The orange juice was good though! Mmmmm OJ
Jenn started her new job on Saturday and she said she can see herself really liking working there. I'm so happy for her.

The rest of the vacation
The next day we headed over to Irving we Tammy could give us a ride in to see my sis, Deb. Tammy wanted to make it a surprise for her but she had to tell her in the end so she could make sure she actually had the day off of work. When we got there Deb took us on the grand tour of her house. I've been to Stephenville twice before, but those 2 times Deb was living in her 1 bedroom apartment. Not a nice big house! I loved it! Very nice colours and nice and big. Bum (Their Dog) is just as cute as ever, and very clever. We had BBQ and Deb took us around the town and showed us the sights. We then had a few drinks that night. We had fun there.
The next day we had to go back, we had so much stuff to do back home.
When we got home we ate supper and I got to play with one of Jenn's little cousins, Jack. He is so smart for his age and he ad a better vocabulary than me!
We then met some more of Jenn's family the next day. She has so many aunts and uncles it's hard to keep track of them all.
Jenn's grandmother and aunt had a big feast made for s the next day and I had a nice little talk with her grandfather, just me and him while the ladies were cooking. It was fun.
the rest of the days were filled with family outings and BBQ's and more picture taking and some club hopping.
Overall it was an eventful week. I may post some pictures soon.

First half of my vacation
So our vacation time started off with us getting up really early (6:00 am) so we could catch the bus on time. Each time we get there the busses are normally there and are in the middle of receiving passengers. This time was no different. So we get out and hop on the bus right away and then we head off.
They never played any movie the whole way in, I was disappointed about that. So I took a nap and played with the things I brought to keep me occupied. I was also watching the scenery roll by from time to time.
When we finally got to town we met Jenn's uncle Scott cousin Jack and her nanna.
We then had lasagne at her mothers house and unpacked.
The next day we went to see her brother play some soft ball. Later we had a little gathering at Jenn's parent house where I saw more family and friends. Jenn played some songs on her nanna's guitar that she had learned. It was fun and I took some pictures of that.
The day after we went for a walk around town. Jenn took me to the Trussle and showed me all the sights. We also went to the liquor store so I could pick up some mix and stuff. I had planned to make my famous berry dacquri(sp?) for them all. That night I realized that I was burned really badly and was looking more red than a tomato.
The next day I woke up and the burn was almost gone! No pain either, very weird!
That's all for now. later I will post the rest

Back from vacation
I got back last night around 9:45pm
I will let you all know later how the time went in greater detail but it was a great time off that's for sure.
The bus rides were long, but worth it.
