Bad back....Again!

Well it's a good thing I got this weekend off, I don't think I will be able to go to work in the condition I'm currently in.
For about 2 weeks I have had a bad back, it hasn't been really bad, just bad enough to notice when I'd try to put my sneakers on, or when I would lift something heavy. Not even bad enough to take any pain killers.
Well yesterday it has been so bad I could hardly stand it. My back hurt so bad and every once in a while it would spasm which would make me yelp out loud at work. It made for a few good laughs at work but I really didn't find it that funny.
When I got home it had worsened. I came home and lied down in the nice soft bed of mine and took a break. That night I found it very hard to sleep. So I was taking some pills. It says take 1 or 2 every 4 hours as needed. Ha! I was taking 2 every 2 hours today. My back actually started to feel really good again. I knew not to push my back too much because it was really still hurting and sore - I just couldn't feel it. I didn't want to make it any worse. So around 4 o'clock I decided to take a break and lie in the bed and watch some TV. When the show I was watching was over I decided to get back up. It was now 4:30 and I had just taken some pills at 3:30. I could barely move! I think I have figured out something, my bed is too soft for my back! Tonight I might sleep in the spare room or even on the floor.

Update

It's about time I update I guess.
Jenn, Pam and I went to see a movie on Sunday. The Black Dahila was picked. We loaded up Pam's bookbag with food and snuck it in the theatre. The movie was slow at first but after it picked up and you realize why it was slow at first. But it is not the type of movie I'd see twice. It wasn't as gory as I thought it would be, which is good.
Time is ticking on by and I'll soon be writing from New Brunswick! I don't know if I'll actually update while I'm there, I'll be doing a lot of things for my parents as they don't really know that much about computers and I'm sure they will keep me busy with that, as well as some sight seeing and stuff. I asked if we will b going to Maine and they said "We'll see" so I hope we actually get to go. It would be nice to be in a different country.

Futureshop

I went to future shop yesterday while making my way to Wal-Mart.
I went to look at the big screen plasma TVs. I was close to the back where they have that little area that has the biggest screens in the store, I was just outside it actually, looking at a plasma TV for 3999.99. (Ouch!) and around the corner this employee comes up to me and.....Well here is what was said:
"Oh, hello there, can I help you with anything."
"No thank you, I'm just looking around."
"Oh...Do you need help looking for a refrigerator?"
"Ah no, I'm just looking."
"So you need help looking for a TV?"
"NO! I'm just LOOKING, please leave me alone."
Then I turned away to face another TV, I then looking back a few seconds later and he had disappeared. What the hell was that all about?? Does it look like I need a fridge? I'm standing by the TVs and the appliances are across the store on the other side. Geesh!

Leaving on a jet plane

Actually it's an Airbus.

Jenn and I are going to New Brunswick in October. I can't wait and I also can wait. I'm really not looking forward to the flight. I HATE flying and I'm getting heartburn thinking about it now.
We had ticket to go on CanJet but that company went under somehow so now we are flying with Air Canada. Gotta love ticket insurance!
From St. John's to Nova Scotia we are going on an Airbus. The flight is almost 2 hours long. Then we are going on a little tin can with wings from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick, that flight is just under 1 hour.
When I got off the plane a few years back when I visited Deb in Stephenville I swore I would never ever get on one of them little planes again. They only sit 18 people! Each seat is a window seat, AND a wing seat. I'm thinking about going to the doctor to get some nerve pills so I can take some before we leave for the airport. Need something to relax me. I'm afraid that if I go there my legs will just stop working and I won't be able to walk to the gate.
I would also love to go there because the last time I was there I was 9 years old and don't really remember much besides having fun.

Karaoke

Jenn and I went to the Bella Vista to meet with some friends and go to karaoke. The Bella Vista (One "L" or two? hummm) is a big lounge area and in the basement they have a bar called The Stanley Steamer. Starting at 10:30 pm they start up the karaoke and we all sit around and read through the selection of songs offered. Jenn got up and sung a few but I never. I would have to get really really drunk to get up on a stage in front of everyone to sing. We stayed out till after 2am.
Jenn had to get up at 7:30am to get ready to go to work. I had to get up at 9am.
Jenn got up and left for work but I never. I was too hungover. I would hardly ever get a hangover, but this time I felt like I was struck by a truck....A beer truck maybe lol
I had to call in sick, I was in no way ready to go to work today and never would be ready in time if I tried. I was moving in slow motion all day today and had a really big pounding headache. But who am I to complain? It was self inflected anyways.

Oh lordy!

Well I was just on RJ's blog (link can be found on the right)
I followed a link to a commercial on Nissan's new X-Trail Bonavista Edition SUV.
God the accent on that guy is something awful! Almost comical. But at the end the caption that is shown when the potential buyer speaks made me laugh out loud.
Check it out!

Steve Irwin is dead

I can remember watching him. He was so funny, so educational, such a wonderful person that was fortunate enough to work in a field that he was clearly passionate about and enjoyed. It was a family affair too, his wife and it appears his kids were also involved with his work....Their work.
He taught me so much about nature and wild animals. I loved watching his show on the discovery channel.
I bet in about 20 years we will hear and see the next Crocodile Hunter and I bet it will be either his daughter Bindi Sue or his son Bob.

Rest in peace Mr Steve Irwin!

Harvey's Oil

So on Tuesday Morning I ordered some more home heating oil. I was ready for a fight this time, the last time we ordered it was in March and I was ready for the lady that took my order to yell at me again and say I haven't been ordering enough. But that never happened. This time I ordered 3 times as much as we normally do.
Last time I was told when I ordered that much I was have it in 24 hours. This time? The lady said in 48 hours - OR - when we're in the area. Talk about customer service! wooh! They will deliver it when it's more convenient for them. That is really thinking "customer first" .... Bastards.
I STILL have not seen the truck and I check the tank every day and it's still low. I doubt they will come today because it's raining outside. I had planned to pay them today but now I'm wondering if I will at all today or wait till they give it to me and then I'll go down to the office and pay for it when I'm in the area. See how they feel about that.
This company has been around for years and years apparently. I don't know how they kept a customer base. If I wasn't under contract with them then I'd go with some other company that would gladly take my money and give me service that is expected. I'm not asking for anything special, I'm not asking for them to come and put on a puppet show for me, or for them to come and be smiling ear to ear and whistling. I just want my damn oil. If they give us a calendar this year for Christmas again I'll send it back and write on the envelope "Sorry, we don't accept mail from bastards"
