After Christmas
Well, my Christmas was good, it was quiet and I also had to work Christmas day.
I guess working here at Convergys I was bound to work Christmas day some year, I've been there a little over 4 years and this was the first. I managed to pull a 3pm-11:30pm shift, so I had time to open gifts and cook dinner.
Jenn was asking me through out the day how I was feeling and things like that because this was the first Christmas with just me and her. This is the 3rd Christmas Jenn has spent without her family and she is coping just fine. My family is spread all over the country now. Kinda depressing when you think about it.
I got just about everything for Christmas that I had asked for. I got the LOST boardgame (it's too confusing to play right now) I got some Survivor DVDs some other DVDs and some games and a lot of shirts and of course I got some chocolate ;^)
Jenn petty much stole santa's bag because she got so much! I got her an electric guitar. She LOVES it! I'm so glad. She taught herself how to play Les's guitar and wanted one of her own. So I got one and I think I fooled Jenn really well, she didn't think I had gotten it. I can remember when I bought it the sales man said "Well all we have left right now is crappy white, if you want you can tell me the colour you want and I can put one on hold for you when the shipment comes in tomorrow." Then I replied "No, that's fine, crappy white is what I'm looking for." It was like a open mouth and insert foot moment. I had a good chuckle out of it anyways. Jenn's Birthday was also a good time. She opened all her gifts and I filmed it on the crappy cam corder that we have here, I surprised her with an ice cream cake, she also got a free regular cake from her work. So we have enough cake for 2 families.

Birthday feast
Today is Christmas eve - and - it's Jenn's birthday.
She had to work today and I had the day off, so I got up shortly after jenn left for work and put up some birthday banners and some balloons. I went to Sobeys and made sure to avoid Jenn as much as possible as I had picked up an ice cream cake. She really wanted one but saw no point in having one since work was going to give her a free cake from the bakery anyways. Little did she know she would have 2 cakes! Mmmm cake!
I also cooked a ham for her birthday supper. It was so good too! I think next time if we have ham we'll just by a small one for just the 2 of us, I swear we got enough ham here now to feed a family of 6. I also made stuffing and corn and potatos. We had such a feast! I'm so full. Then I taped Jenn opening up her birthday presents, she was so happy to have them all and was not expecting anything she got! they were all great suprises.
When Jenn's family is done calling her to wish her a happy birthday we're going to be making our way to our next door neighbours, they invited Jenn and I over last night when Jenn was out for a smoke last night, I think we will bring b-day cake over too. We have enough to go around.
Merry Christmas everyone!

11 hours
I went to sleep last night around 12am and I woke up today at 11:38am. I could not believe it! That meant I had around 11 hours sleep, wow I haven't done something like that in years, I think I was sick with the flu and it was helped by taking NightQuil or something, but wow, holy shit!
Now I'm wide awake and can't get to sleep, it's 2:46 am

Dirty Keyboard
Well the party was a real hit.
We even had the video camera out, there was about 16 people that showed up and 13 stayed for most of the night. 3 left as quickly as they came, but they had another party to go to or something and only wanted to make an appearance. Which was fine by me, I was to busy downing jello shooters.
I think we made them too strong though, they tasted like medicine. I remember having 13 before losing count. I should have stopped at 3 but I have no limit once I'm "half in the bag" I was making drinks for people and I just couldn't seem to mix them in the blender right, but I never got any complaints really.
Today before work I decided to try and clean this key board because it was getting really bad looking. It took me a little over an hour but I got it looking a lot better, there was so much crap in this little thing. I swear there was more dust and dirt then plastic and metal!

Party Hardy
Well the party is tonight. I'm cleaning up a little bit so Jenn doesn't have to do it all when she gets home from work.
Hopefully we'll all have a great time.
It's raining outside, so no snow is good snow.

Rotten Ronnies
Jenn's birthday is coming up soon, we have decided to hold a party for her this weekend. We got cookies, chips, drinks, everything you need! lol Jenn has all her friends from work and such invited and I have invited a few people as well. Hopefully it will be a good time. We will be providing jello shooters, Jenn bought the jello yesterday, but we didn't have any of those shooter cups. So last night while walking home from work we stopped in to McDonalds and went to the table they got there where you get straws and napkins etc. They have a ketchup pump set up therewith those little cups.....So we loaded up on cups....We took 81 cups. lol That should be enough. We'd need a 40oz to fill all those!
It's been raining here the past few days on and off. It looks nothing like Christmas here anymore, I hope we have a bit for Christmas day.

Chrisco hampers Part 3
After that update I decided to take a break and work on my site a little, I tried to fix some broken links and make a new look for 2007 but I still couldn't stop feeling very mad. I called the courier Green Lantern and they said that the hampers would arrive on Saturday, I told her that we couldn't do that so she said she will find out if they could deliver them this evening. I called her back later and she said that they should be there by 9-9:30pm at the latest, but possibly a little earlier. I was so happy!! - Till 9:30pm came and went and still no hampers. I tried so many times to call them back but they close around 5pm so I was getting no answer. What kind of company doesn't have an answering machine!?! So I'm boiling mad sitting here talking to friends on MSN and then the doorbell rings. It's almost 10:15pm. I run to the door and there is this guy there in a U-Haul van and he said he had my orders for me. SWEET! Wow we got them afterall! Our fridge is so full of freezer food we have NO room for anything else. Also, we have enough crackers to do us for 2 years I swear lol.
So if I were to sum up my new view on Chrisco Christmas Hampers in 2 words, it would be "Chrisco Sucks"

Chrisco Christmas Hampers Part 2
Well, Today I get up and start getting ready for work. I get a call on my cell AND on the house phone the exact same time. I thought that was odd. I answered the house phone first and it was Chrisco hampers with an automated message stating that my hampers will be delivered tomorrow from 7am to 7pm. This is 22 hours notice. It is crazy, so I try to call them, since they are located in BC it was still really early there and their inbound centre was closed. So I had to wait till 10:30 to call them and I got this lady on the phone and she said that there was no way possible to eschedule the order date since it is already on the truck. I told her how they never gave us enough time to plan this and also last night a person called and said they will be calling back to give us an appointment time at our convenience. She said she was sorry about that and that there was no way for her to change this date. I asked to cancel the order she said it was too late to do that. She also told me that I was told last night that they could be delivered today. I told her I was not told this and asked what would happen if no one was home to receive the order. She said they would leave it on the door step! That's nuts! SO I had to call in sick. I spent close to 600.00 on this and this is how they treat me.
I called my mom and explained the whole thing to her, she was mad too after hearing what was happening, I gave her the # and she got dad to call. He managed to speak with a supervisor there and they gave him a # to call the courier to see when they will be by. I will be doing that now after this update.

Dear Chrisco hampers....
CHEW MY ASS!!
That is what I fell like writing and saying right now.
During the first part of last year I get this flyer in the mail taking about Chrisco Christmas hampers. For those of you not familiar with the company, here is how they work. They sent you a catalog full of wonderful food hampers and other types of hampers that you can order, once you make an order you pay weekly, bi-weekly or monthly and when you finish making the payments they send you your hampers in December. So I ordered some. Late November we were told that we would get our hampers today. The thing about it is that the delivery time was long. From 7am to 7pm.
So today around 4pm I start to get worried and I give them a call to see if there was anyway possible that we can tell where the delivery truck is or how long it will take. They couldn't tell me anything.
The only reason I was worried is because Jenn went to Irving and one of the workers there had said they still haven't gotten theirs and they should have been delivered 2 days ago. I didn't want this to happen to us. Now I kind of figured that was because of the weather we've been having for the past 2 days, but every thing was find today. It lightly snowed but nothing major at all.
7pm comes and I call them. I speak with this lady that has a nice aussie type accent and she says that she will fill out a "missing delivery form" in the morning for me and someone will be contacting me to tell me what happened to the order and to tell me a new timeframe for delivery. I can't take time off work like this! This is nuts. So I hang up with her and call right back to get someone else. This lady had the same type accent and was "very sorry" for my inconvenience and wanted me to know she will do everything to make sure I get my order later. I tell her I wasted my time here all day when I need to get to the post office to mail some things across the country and now it may be too late. Their little saying is "Helping you have a magical Christmas" So almost in tears with fustration I yell "Thank you for a fucking magical Christmas" and I hang up. 20 minutes later I call back to apologize. It was not that reps fault the packages didn't arrive and I know EXACTLY how she must feel answering the same questions that she has answered maybe 100 times this day. I will NEVER order from them again. I also promised some people that I would order some catalogs for them. When I get them I will throw them away instead. Bastards.

December Time!
Well, it's now December, Jenn and I went to wal-mart today to finish up some of our Christmas shopping. There were so many people in wal-mart it was crazy! I felt like flipping out. I swear I get "shopping rage" when I go there every time. Slow and stupid people and messy aisles -also unable to find what I'm looking for are all factor in and I just feel like plowing through the crowds with my cart screaming.
