Brunch
Since my project at work is being phased out we had all decided to go out one last time as a team for a brunch. We went to Don Cherry's sports bar and had a good time. I ate way too much(what is new there? lol)
The worst thing is that not everyone could make it. Some had to work and there is no way possible we could have organized it any better since the department is opened from 9am to 1:30am EVERY day. But there were people that said they would go and never showed up. We had booked for 20 people and only 8 showed up.
I guess the others had something better to do after they said they would go. Why would someone say
yes if they knew they would not go?
Boggles my mind.

Moving dreams
Lately I have dreams about going to the apartment building where I'd like to move to meet the landlady so I can give her the damage deposit for an apartment but can't find the right floor to go on. It's so frustrating and I can't stop dreaming it, I have this dream once a night at least.
It snowed a lot yesterday, the drift right in front of the door was up to my knees, and the stuff was pretty heavy. The thing about it is that the snow wasn't wet so I can only imagine how heavy it would be if it rained right afterwards.
The steps that leads down to the public path easily had 3 times more snow on top of it than the path around it, so I didn't bother to shovel that. It was ONLY on the steps too, which gives me a hint to just leave it alone lol. I don't care if the mail man has to walk up our path for the mail and then walk back down and around the front of the house.
Mmmmm I just made a pita pizza, I hear they are healthier than regular pizza. But I guess that all depends on what you put on it eh? well I had the pita bread, some pizza sauce, some skillet style bacon and a small amount of cheese. It's ready it 10 minutes and was amazingly yummy! I'll have to have it again soon.

Small Oranges
I bought some Oranges last week and finally had one today, The peel was so thick that by the time I was done with it it looked as small as a tangeriean!
I'm going over to a friends house today to help her with her computer, she got back a few weeks ago from her vacation to california and she needs help getting her pictures she took on her computer. I had a dream last night that I was trying to make my way to her house and when I got off the bus downtown I found her house but I could not get to it because it was build on top of a mountain of discarded cellphones. How weird is that?

Busy busy busy
Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been busy with work, When I get up in the mornings I usually don't go on the computer for long - Not long enough to update my blog, and when I come home from work I'm usually too tired.
This week at work has been an eventful one that's for sure. First someone that usually sits across from me was told to go to one of the managers office. He came back with a very upset look and just took his things and ran. We all found out later that his mother had just died. It was so sad. We all pitched in and got his family a nice bouquet of flowers. Also one of my great work friends had to go to hospital with her little child. He needed surgery and she will now be off for 2 weeks. I called her on behalf of out team at work and asked how they were all doing, also I informed of the other co-workers death in the family.
Today we found out that our project is being fazed out and we will be going with another project on the 12th of February. We knew it was coming, I just wish they gave us more time to prepare. A lot on my team are kinda edgy now and we all feel like we've been plucked out of our comfort zone at work and some are actually even thinking about leaving. But not me, I have to stay there for a while yet! lol
It's not that big of a deal to me. I will be taken out of something that I'm used to every day but also this means change, and I'm about ready for one.
That's all for tonight!

Packing
Today is the day I start to officially pack. I got the spare room closet all gutted and I boxed and tagged all my things and put it all back for easy moving come March. Some of the boxes are super heavy while some are light. I hope there are more light then heavy when we're all done lol.
I got a garbage bag filled with junk. I didn't realize I had so much junk stored away in the closet. To tell you the truth I thought most of it was Les's things, but a good half is mine.
The wind is blowing some hard here, I had a dream earlier this morning before I got up about the tree in the front yard completely blowing over and crashing through les's room. What a mess! I was trying to call her on my cell phone but couldn't dial her number right. Such a weird dream.

Back in 2006
Well This is January 1st of 2007
Feels kind of funny when you think about it, can you imagine! 10 years ago it was 1997! 1997 feels like it only happened maybe 3-4 years ago...not 10.
The older you get the faster time goes by, pretty soon I expect to get whiplash from the break neck speed!
Today we got a call from our landlord, they are going to start renovating this house this spring, all along they have told us that they were going to do this but each time they would bring it up it would seem like the time frame they had first quoted us was something we must have dreamed up.
When we first moved in they said they expected to start all this in 5 years. 2 and 1/2 years have passed since they said that. Then during the summer it was spring after next when they were going to start. This October it actually started with the face lift of the front and side of the house. Then they came down with an architect and they said mid May month. NOW they called today and said that they will be bringing down the eviction notice tomorrow for April 1st! So we are kind of left in a scramble. I have an application for the apartment buildings across from where I work and I will be bringing it over before I start work tomorrow. When they drop by I'm going to see what we can do about getting it changed to May. They may do it, but who knows, they may be just going on when they can get the architect and the contractors. Things may be already set in stone in other words. If that's the case then we will be out then.
I feel like I'm rambling and I had originally decided to use this post as a reflection of the year past. I guess I'll do that in another post as right now I'm tired and I need some shut-eye! Goodnight all!
- Oh! and I hope you all like the new colour scheme I have going here, please sign my guestbook as I had to get another one because I lost the info for the other one and couldn't delete the spam messages that were ever so thoughtfully left for me :^)
