Gym time
So I am reallying enjoying the time I spend at the gym now, listening to my music, sweatin away the extra weight HA!
Seriously though, I am. I know it's helping me a big deal and I will eventually get to my goal. I just hope I get to my new goal of 25-35 lbs before the new year. That was my original plan. I got weighed in last night for the first time and I was 20 lbs less than what I thought I was! I was very pleased with that. I don't own a weight scale at home so I really had no idea just how heavy I was.
The next time that I can go to the gym will be the 2nd of October. Tomorrow we're getting up before the crack of dawn to get on the DRL coachline and we'll be headed to the central part of the island. Jenn's grandparents are having a surprise celebration for their 50th wedding anniversary thrown for them by their children (Jenn's mom and her sisters) I can't wait! But I can wait for that long bus ride. After a while I get so uncomfortable just sitting there in those seats I feel like screaming. I'll just bring a lot to occupy myself this time. Trips like this make me wish that I own a laptop.

Breakfast time!
So, I came here to write up a new entry and I realize that the one I already wrote up last Sunday wasn't showing up! ack! So I checked it out and seen that it never actually posted correctly, so before you read this one you might want to read the entry just below this one. Well, it's not like you are going to get confused by reading this one first, nothing like that, just thought you might like to read them in order is all haha
Where to begin..... Ok I know.
I woke up today at 8am and I just could not get back to sleep. Jenn was the same way, when I turned over she was already up and reading a book. The room was so bright with sunlight. I swear we need black coloured window blinds to keep the sun out.
While laying there and talking, we decided to go out for breakfast. We hardly ever do that but when we do, it usually ends in disappointment.
We made up our minds on going to Zacherys. We got ready and headed out to the bus, then I realized that - once again - I looked at the schedule wrong and we missed the bus. We ended up walking to Torbay Road Mall and caught the #3 just after 10am. When we got there we were able to get a seat right away and no time had passed before our food was out. The homemade hash browns were different, they tasted a lot better than before, we couldn't believe it! Mmmmmmmm
No disappointment this time!!
We then walked around downtown for what seemed like hours and came to rest at Harbour Side Park and just sat on the benches there and watched some boats come and go. I wish I took my camera, it would have been nice.
I got my Christmas shopping list completed. And I have ordered some of the gifts online already. I feel so proud of myself and am so glad I will have most of it paid off before Christmas too!
I have also made a Christmas wish list to make shopping easier for my sisters, I'm about to email it to them now. I hope it helps them, I know I'm not always the easiest person to shop for.

Memory Lane
Its actually warm again today!
Lately it's been getting cold at night, cold enough to need a light coat. Today the windows are opened and a light warm breeze is coming in. Reminds me of years ago being back home and sitting on the deck with the sun beating down and the warmth being so nice, especially with the soft wind blowing. There are days that I start to feel like "oh, I really miss home." My childhood home.
I can remember when we were kids going to the hills behind our house and playing baseball, hide and seak, house, and going to all the unnamed beaches. We had names for them all anyways- even if some of the bigger ones did have names we would put our own name on them, such as Rocky Beach, Muscle Mania....and that little one on the right of Rocky Beach...it was very small, not even sure if we gave that one a name. All I remember is that you had to scale a Cliff in order to get to it. One wrong move and you would be down in the ocean banging up against the rocks with the waves. None of us ever made that wrong move though. No wonder mom never wanted us to go up there by ourselves, she knew what we were at there. We were practically freestyle rock climers back in the day. Debbie more so than anyone else, she seemed to have no fear of heights or water.
We would spend hours up there and have so much fun. So many amazing thoughts could wash up on those shores on a daily basis, also some pretty gross stuff too.
Ah memory lane.....

Gym time
Got the day off today, so I had planned to go to the gym across the street from where I live and join up. I was there a year ago this October. I'm all signed up now and I can go right now if I wanted to and work out but I really want my new sneakers first. I ordered some out of a Sears catalog. It was a lot better then going out to a store and hunting for a size that would fit me. Also, it was a really good price! Which is rare in Sears.
So I am very please with myself that I have joined up again. Got a few free 5 day passes for some people too.
I can't wait to start to lose this excess weight. my first goal is 25 lbs by New Years. Which shouldn't be to easy or hard to do - just right I think. After that I'll see how I feel and how well I'm actually doing to judge how much for my next goal

Weekend
I was so shocked with the heat we have been getting all last week. I was really not expecting that for the last week of August.
It came along at a good time all the same. Jenns brother and his girlfriend came out for the weekend since they had a long weekend like just about everyone else with Labour Day on the 3rd. I had to work though, but that was ok, since I got paid a lot to work it.
We went downtown on Saturday and we only made it to two bars. Lotties and The Sundance.
When we first got on George Street we had no idea where to go at first, but we quickly made up our minds since Lotties had no cover charge to get in. we had our first drink there to start the night. When we got inside I realized how packed in there it was and I was actually getting scared. "What if there was a fire? NO ONE would make it out of there alive!" That's what I always think about when I get into a small place that is packed shoulder to shoulder with people. Only stayed there long enough to finish the drink and then we left. It was also so hot in there I had to turn my head up to breath air that was a little less stuffy.
For the rest of the night we went to The Sundance. Cover was 7.00 and it wasn't nearly as packed - except for the dance floor on the lower level of the club - We tried to go on the dance floor, but there were so many crazy drunk people trying to dance that had very sharp elbows we had to give up on it and make our way up to the deck area. We stayed there the rest of the night. We stayed till they turned on the "ugly lights" and then we had to get a cab home.
We really needed so luck to get a cab that was for sure. That night you practically had to jump out in front of one to get them to stop. I expect someone to get killed down there just wanting a ride home one of these days. We got one without having to do any more that wave which made me so happy! I didn't want to have to walk up that hill behind the Delta hotel to get a cab. That place is always swarming with cabs but the hill is so steep, especially when you have a few drinks in you!
That was my weekend basically.
