Wedding site

So there is this really good Newfoundland wedding site out there called >Newfoundlandweddings.com< and it has a message board system where you can ask questions. I am very familiar with this type of board system because another place I frequent online has the same type of board. When I signed up I tried to post a question that same day and it said I couldn't because I have not been approved by the admin's yet. So I waited and waited (almost a month) and today tried again to post something but I couldn't still! So I sent off a message to the lady in charge to see what the big deal is. This is really pissin' me off! How can they expect to have a place for people to help others and to seek help and yet not be able to communicate with anyone? Grrrr

Anyways, our wedding planning is going along SLOWLY! lol
There is just so much and it's usually overwhelming when we start and then e just put it down for a week or so. We really have to kick it into high gear if we don't want to be rushed for last minute things.

Bird Clock

When my parents came over from New Brunswick this past summer they brought with them some of their yard sale finds. They are avid yard sale enthusiasts and always find something interesting.
One of these items they found was a wall clock with birds on it. I'm sure they must have gotten it for just a few dollars. They gave it to us when they came over here and we really never got around to putting it up till a few days ago. Now I know why it was for sale in the first place. It nearly frightens the crap out of us every hour on the hour!
Every hour it makes a different bird call. Some are nice while some sound like they belong in a creepy forest. What's even more funny is when we have friends over and they are talking, then all of a sudden the clock goes off. They stop mid sentence and their eyes usually go right wide till its done chirping or squawking away and then they usually say "what the hell was that?!?!"
So far it has frighten us many times but also provided us with many laughs. Not sure how much longer we're keeping those batteries in, by weeks end it might be thrown out a window or something haha

Halloween

I was just thinking....Where did September go?? I'm sure it was here somewhere.
That month flew by so fast. Now October is doing the same. It's true what people say, 'When you get older, time goes a little faster' I feel like that sometimes if I blink a day will just pass by.
Anyone ever see that show called Kid Nation? I'm watching it right now as I type this. They are talking about religion, which I believe is ALWAYS a sticky situation when you stick so many people in a room with different beliefs and try to sort something out. A situation I always try not to get into myself.
Jenn and I have been invited to a Halloween costume party and time is running out for me to get something together. Jenn got hers today. I may get mine this weekend all depends on what I can find right now of whats left, I'm sure all that is left by now is slim pickins. This also reminds me we should get some candy before it's too late. There is only one family in this building from what I know, so I'm sure we will get at least 1 knock this Halloween.

Back from the mini vacation!

Well, the last few days have been a whirlwind of a vacation! so much has happened in such a short time. I meet almost all of Jenn's mother's side of the family.
They are all really nice people.

We had to get up super early on Thursday to catch the bus out. We managed to go the whole way without having to share a seat with anyone else. We couldn't sit together since Jenn took her guitar with her, there was just no room for all three in those 2 seats.
We got in a little before 3pm and got a ride to Jenn's parents house by one of their friends. Once we unpacked and ate supper it was late and we went to bed after a few drinks and a few card games.
The next day All the family came over to the house and I got to meet everyone. There where so many people there I felt a little overwhelmed at first. Later that day we all went up to get the hall decorated for the big occasion. We were moving tables, hanging stuff from the ceiling and making sure everything was just right. Then on Saturday we get to the hall extra early so we can do some finishing touches. Then we waited for what seemed like forever for the 2 special guests to arrive. When they did we all partied till 2am and then went home for the night. Jenn was dancing so much that night her feet were really hurting. I was ok though, I only danced to a few songs but as the night went on I danced more often lol.
Then on Sunday we all went down to Jenn's grandparents house for the gift opening and for a big meal.
We had to get up early today too, we got a ride in with one of Jenn's uncles who had to catch a flight in town today. It saved us a lot of money in bus fees! we were so happy about that. Now I'm here!
